I love humans.

When I lived in Hawaii, I would wake up almost every morning to a little old man whistling tunes while taking a ride around campus.
One day I was reading on the Town Hall lawn when all of a sudden I heard what sounded like Celtic music. Further investigation led me to the lot where a man stood playing the bagpipes.
On Mondays and Wednesdays on my way to work I spot a kid riding his unicycle home from school.
Earlier this week, one of my kiddies professed her love for her partner and continued to do so even after he told her she was crazy.

These genius people created magic in the forest. How fantastic.

I need a camera.

I walk outside and see so many potential shots. Frames of life that I would love to keep forever and ever.
I just wish they weren't so darn expensive.

I was meant for...

This is what I looked like on my bike ride today. Yes. I did relearn how to ride a bike with no hands. I'm pretty cool like that. I was tempted to whip out the phone and see how well I could text and ride but I thought it best to wait until not the first day back.

I also enjoyed the GORGEOUSGORGEOUS day with a trip to Trader Joe's for some deliciousdelicious Tomato-Basil Hummus and a nice long walk.

Hummus is one of the greatest inventions on earth. It's like a little piece of mouth heaven. I didn't even bother with crackers. I can eat it straight from the tub. All day. Everyday.

I think today was the first time I reallyREALLY missed living in Hawaii. I so wanted to chuck my shoes on my walk today. It's not weird to go to the store or just around barefooted in Hawaii. Fifteen minutes in to my walk, I did just that. Off they came. My feet were FREE. I decided to hold them in my hands so that people wouldn't think I was a mad lady who walks around barefooted all day [cause i'm not?] but then I got tired of holding them so into my bag they went. It was fantastic.

Oh life, you were swell today. Just swell.

Run Pat, Run.

From the North to the South Pole in a year. RUNNING.

I have a new hero.
Maybe one of these blistery blustery days I'll run into him.
Literally and figuratively.

Clickity clack.

Let it be known that I am a terrible typer.
My father constantly pokes fun at the three fingers doing all the work.
But sometimes, when I am all alone,
I tippity tap on my key board,
will all my fingers.
I don't fully press down, I just lightly tap.
I don't do this because I wish that I could type faster (well, maybe just a little).
But the tipptiy tap and the clickity clack that my fingers and keys make
simply make me smile.
